As of May 10, 2021 university may offer in-person and Ohio state venues may consider third-party events that want to use university spaced under these guidelines
- Events – It is expected campus life to include a wide range of events and gatherings this fall. Safety measures will still be in place. For fully vaccinated people, masks are no longer required on Ohio State’s campuses except for in Wexner Medical Center facilities, Student Health facilities and on public transportation – in accordance with public health guidelines. Fully vaccinated individuals are also no longer required to physically distance. Individuals who are not vaccinated are required to continue wearing masks indoors and physically distancing at all times.
- All events and gatherings must follow sate, local and university protocols and must obtain pre-approval.
- Planning an event at a university-managed venue should work with that facility to obtain approvals. For more information about and these guidelines, contact the Events Review Committee.
- Academic units planning to hold events at a college or unit-managed facility or at a third-party location should contact Vice Provost Randy Smith for information on the approval process.
- Student organizations on the Columbus campus are permitted to resume in-person events of 10 or fewer people on and/or off campus. Following all safe and healthy protocols, student organization leaders must submit space reservation request that include details of planned safety measures.
- Business Meetings
- Follow healthy and safety guidance as provided in Healthy and Wellness Protocols.
- Continue to utilize Zoom or Teams for virtual participation for attendees not on campus
- If considering meals, pre-packaged is preferred or no food at all.
